Frigidaire dehumidifier error codes and guides
Frigidaire publishes an owner-level error-code guide for its dehumidifiers; the pages below cover the codes verified against it so far.
The entry covered so far is the pair EC and F0, which that guide lists on a single line as a sealed-system failure with the instruction to contact Frigidaire. The two are not separate faults. The zero in F0 reads as a letter on the display, so the code is widely written "FO" — if that is what you are looking at, the page below is the right one.
That page carries something more urgent than the code itself. Frigidaire-branded dehumidifiers were built by Gree and are covered by a live CPSC recall that CPSC has announced three times, most recently reinforced by a CPSC warning in August 2023. The remedy is a refund rather than a repair, so checking the model number and date code on the rating plate comes before spending anything on a unit showing EC or F0.
One more thing the guide settles: CO is not a fault code. It does not appear in Frigidaire's error-code list at all — it is the setpoint position for continuous running, and Frigidaire's own remedy for a unit that never stops is to move the setpoint off CO to a humidity number.
