Dehumidifiers
The dehumidifier pages cover what portable compressor units do when they stop working properly: the coils freeze, the tank stays dry, or the display shows a code. Two symptom pages handle freezing and a unit that runs without collecting water, and a guide covers setting up a continuous drain hose.
Frigidaire's EC and F0 codes have a page of their own, and that page also covers the CPSC recall of Frigidaire-branded dehumidifiers built by Gree. Hisense has a reference page on what Hisense actually publishes for its dehumidifiers.
Start with the symptom if there's no code on the display. The pages draw on the brands' owner's manuals and support articles and on CPSC recall notices. The sizing calculator below uses the pint rating from the 2019 DOE test, which is lower than the older rating many boxes still print alongside it.
