Generac Error Code 1600: Underspeed

What code 1600 means
A standby generator makes 60 Hz power by holding the engine at 3,600 rpm, so engine speed and output frequency are one measurement expressed in two units. The controller watches it continuously; when the engine is dragged down — by more load than it can carry, or by a fuel supply that cannot keep up — frequency falls with it, and the controller stops the unit rather than feed your furnace board and refrigerator compressor off-frequency power. Generac does not publish the speed it treats as too slow, or how long the sag has to last, so no figure is given here.
What Generac publishes is short, and it is the entire owner-facing definition: speed too slow, because the unit is overloaded or the fuel supply is short.
