Generator error codes by brand

Generac is the only standby-generator brand with code pages here so far, and its codes are split across four kinds of page. The Generac hub lists the alarm codes Generac publishes for its standby controllers, with what each one means and how the controller is cleared. Eleven codes have a page of their own, from 1100 (overcrank) to 2800 (auxiliary shutdown), each with the reset sequence in the manual's words and the checks an owner can make before calling a dealer.

The Next Generation controller (Power Zone 200) uses a different code list, so it has its own page. Generac's portable generators report faults through a COsense light and EFI blink codes rather than a display, and they have a separate page too.

To use this section, read the number on the controller screen and open that code's page, or find it in the hub's table. A code number from another brand's generator does not carry Generac's meaning, so none are listed here. Every meaning comes from Generac's own manuals and support articles.
